This bumps target-lexicon and adds support for the AppleAarch64 calling
convention. Specifically for WebAssembly support, we only have to worry
about the new stack slots convention. Stack slots don't need to be at
least 8-bytes, they can be as small as the data type's size. For
instance, if we need stack slots for (i32, i32), they can be located at
offsets (+0, +4). Note that they still need to be properly aligned on
the data type they're containing, though, so if we need stack slots for
(i32, i64), we can't start the i64 slot at the +4 offset (it must start
at the +8 offset).
Added one test that was failing on the Mac M1, as well as other tests
stressing different yet similar situations.
* Wasmtime 0.15.0 and Cranelift 0.62.0. (#1398)
* Bump more ad-hoc versions.
* Add build.rs to wasi-common's Cargo.toml.
* Update the env var name in more places.
* Remove a redundant echo.
This patch updates or removes all references to the Cranelift repository. It affects links in README documents, issues that were transferred to the Wasmtime repository, CI badges, and a small bunch of sundry items.
Update the documentation for the merger, and also for various changes in
Cranelift. Remove some old obsolete documentation, and convert the remaining
Sphinx files to Markdown. Some of the remaining content is still out of
date, but this is a step forward.
* All: Drop 'basic-blocks' feature
This makes it so that 'basic-blocks' cannot be disabled and we can
start assuming it everywhere.
* Tests: Replace non-bb filetests with bb version
* Tests: Adapt solver-fixedconflict filetests to use basic blocks
* Bump version to 0.48.0
* Re-enable `byteorder`'s default features.
The code uses `WriteBytesExt` which depends on the `std` feature being
enabled. So for now, just enable `std`.
Allocations associated with pushes to EbbHeaderBlockData::predecessors account
for 4.9% of all heap allocation (calls) in CL. This change avoids almost all
of them by changing it to be a SmallVec<[PredBlock; 4]>. Dynamic instruction
count falls by 0.15%.
* the target-lexicon crate no longer has or needs the std feature
in cargo, so we can delete all default-features=false, any mentions
of its std feature, and the nostd configs in many lib.rs files
* the representation of arm architectures has changed, so some case
statements needed refactoring
