6e6713ae0b cranelift: add support for the Mac aarch64 calling convention
This bumps target-lexicon and adds support for the AppleAarch64 calling
convention. Specifically for WebAssembly support, we only have to worry
about the new stack slots convention. Stack slots don't need to be at
least 8-bytes, they can be as small as the data type's size. For
instance, if we need stack slots for (i32, i32), they can be located at
offsets (+0, +4). Note that they still need to be properly aligned on
the data type they're containing, though, so if we need stack slots for
(i32, i64), we can't start the i64 slot at the +4 offset (it must start
at the +8 offset).

Added one test that was failing on the Mac M1, as well as other tests
stressing different yet similar situations.

44e76fe9c0 Update spec tests (#2690)
* Update wasm-tools crates

* Update Wasm SIMD spec tests

* Invert 'experimental_x64_should_panic' logic

By doing this, it is easier to see which spec tests currently panic. The new tests correspond to recently-added instructions.

* Fix: ignore new spec tests for all backends

08983bf39c Move crates/api to crates/wasmtime (#1693)
The `wasmtime` crate currently lives in `crates/api` for historical
reasons, because we once called it `wasmtime-api` crate. This creates a
stumbling block for new contributors.

As discussed on Zulip, rename the directory to `crates/wasmtime`.

3dd5a3cb3f Reimplement wasmtime-wasi on top of wasmtime (#899)
* Reimplement `wasmtime-wasi` on top of `wasmtime`

This commit reimplements the `wasmtime-wasi` crate on top of the
`wasmtime` API crate, instead of being placed on top of the `wasmtime-*`
family of internal crates. The purpose here is to continue to exercise
the API as well as avoid usage of internals wherever possible and
instead use the safe API as much as possible.

The `wasmtime-wasi` crate's API has been updated as part of this PR as
well. The general outline of it is now:

* Each module snapshot has a `WasiCtxBuilder`, `WasiCtx`, and `Wasi`
  type.
  * The `WasiCtx*` types are reexported from `wasi-common`.
  * The `Wasi` type is synthesized by the `wig` crate's procedural macro
* The `Wasi` type exposes one constructor which takes a `Store` and a
  `WasiCtx`, and produces a `Wasi`
* Each `Wasi` struct fields for all the exported functions in that wasi
  module. They're all public an they all have type `wasmtime::Func`
* The `Wasi` type has a `get_export` method to fetch an struct field by
  name.

The intention here is that we can continue to make progress on #727 by
integrating WASI construction into the `Instance::new` experience, but
it requires everything to be part of the same system!

The main oddity required by the `wasmtime-wasi` crate is that it needs
access to the caller's `memory` export, if any. This is currently done
with a bit of a hack and is expected to go away once interface types are
more fully baked in.

* Remove now no-longer-necessary APIs from `wasmtime`

* rustfmt

* Rename to from_abi

ef2177ed3a Update to the latest spec_testsuite and dependencies. (#803)
* Update to the latest spec_testsuite and dependencies.

Update to target-lexicon 0.10, cranelift 0.54, wast 0.6, faerie 0.14,
and the latest spec_testsuite.

For wast and cranelift-wasm, update the code for API changes.

* Factor out the code for matching f32, f64, and v128.

This takes the idea from #802 to split out `f32_matches`, `f64_matches`,
and `v128_matches` functions, which better factor out the matching
functionality between scalar and vector.

d4fd229e5e Reorganize wasi-misc-tests. (#575)
* Reorganize wasi-misc-tests.

Move wasi-misc-tests out of wasi-common, to break a dependency cycle;
previously, wasmtime-* depended on wasi-common, but wasi-common
dev-dependended on wasmtime-*.

Now, wasi-common no longer dev-depends on wasmtime-*; instead, the
tests are in their own crate which depends on wasi-common and on
wasmtime-*.

Also, rename wasi-misc-tests to wasi-tests for simplicity.

This also removes the "wasm_tests" feature; it's replaced by the
"test-programs" feature.

* Update the CI script to use the new feature name.

* Update the CI script to use the new feature name in one more place.

* Change a `write!` to a `writeln!`.
