25000afe69 Enable fuzzing the module linking implementation
This commit updates all the wasm-tools crates that we use and enables
fuzzing of the module linking proposal in our various fuzz targets. This
also refactors some of the dummy value generation logic to not be
fallible and to always succeed, the thinking being that we don't want to
accidentally hide errors while fuzzing. Additionally instantiation is
only allowed to fail with a `Trap`, other failure reasons are unwrapped.

f003388ec7 Implement imported/exported modules/instances (#2461)
* Implement imported/exported modules/instances

This commit implements the final piece of the module linking proposal
which is to flesh out the support for importing/exporting instances and
modules. This ended up having a few changes:

* Two more `PrimaryMap` instances are now stored in an `Instance`. The value
  for instances is `InstanceHandle` (pretty easy) and for modules it's
  `Box<dyn Any>` (less easy).

* The custom host state for `InstanceHandle` for `wasmtime` is now
  `Arc<TypeTables` to be able to fully reconstruct an instance's types
  just from its instance.

* Type matching for imports now has been updated to take
  instances/modules into account.

One of the main downsides of this implementation is that type matching
of imports is duplicated between wasmparser and wasmtime, leading to
posssible bugs especially in the subtelties of module linking. I'm not
sure how best to unify these two pieces of validation, however, and it
may be more trouble than it's worth.

* Fix a bug in publish script to vendor the right witx

Currently there's two witx binaries in our repository given the two wasi

right one.

5a5fb11979 CL/aarch64: implement the wasm SIMD i32x4.dot_i16x8_s instruction
This patch implements, for aarch64, the following wasm SIMD extensions

  i32x4.dot_i16x8_s instruction
  https://github.com/WebAssembly/simd/pull/127

It also updates dependencies as follows, in order that the new instruction can
be parsed, decoded, etc:

  wat          to  1.0.27
  wast         to  26.0.1
  wasmparser   to  0.65.0
  wasmprinter  to  0.2.12

The changes are straightforward:

* new CLIF instruction `widening_pairwise_dot_product_s`

* translation from wasm into `widening_pairwise_dot_product_s`

* new AArch64 instructions `smull`, `smull2` (part of the `VecRRR` group)

* translation from `widening_pairwise_dot_product_s` to `smull ; smull2 ; addv`

There is no testcase in this commit, because that is a separate repo. The
implementation has been tested, nevertheless.

693c6ea771 wasmtime: Extract cranelift/lightbeam compilers to separate crates (#2117)
This commit extracts the two implementations of `Compiler` into two
separate crates, `wasmtime-cranelfit` and `wasmtime-lightbeam`. The
`wasmtime-jit` crate then depends on these two and instantiates them
appropriately. The goal here is to start reducing the weight of the
`wasmtime-environ` crate, which currently serves as a common set of
types between all `wasmtime-*` crates. Long-term I'd like to remove the
dependency on Cranelift from `wasmtime-environ`, but that's going to
take a lot more work.

In the meantime I figure it's a good way to get started by separating
out the lightbeam/cranelift function compilers from the
`wasmtime-environ` crate. We can continue to iterate on moving things
out in the future, too.

1000f21338 Update wasmparser to 0.59.0 (#2013)
This commit is intended to update wasmparser to 0.59.0. This primarily
includes bytecodealliance/wasm-tools#40 which is a large update to how
parsing and validation works. The impact on Wasmtime is pretty small at
this time, but over time I'd like to refactor the internals here to lean
more heavily on that upstream wasmparser refactoring.

For now, though, the intention is to get on the train of wasmparser's
latest `main` branch to ensure we get bug fixes and such.

As part of this update a few other crates and such were updated. This is
primarily to handle the new encoding of `ref.is_null` where the type is
not part of the instruction encoding any more.

08983bf39c Move crates/api to crates/wasmtime (#1693)
The `wasmtime` crate currently lives in `crates/api` for historical
reasons, because we once called it `wasmtime-api` crate. This creates a
stumbling block for new contributors.

3b7cb6ee64 Enable jitdump profiling support by default (#1310)
* Enable jitdump profiling support by default

This the result of some of the investigation I was doing for #1017. I've
done a number of refactorings here which culminated in a number of
changes that all amount to what I think should result in jitdump support being
enabled by default:

* Pass in a list of finished functions instead of just a range to
  ensure that we're emitting jit dump data for a specific module rather
  than a whole `CodeMemory` which may have other modules.
* Define `ProfilingStrategy` in the `wasmtime` crate to have everything
  locally-defined
* Add support to the C API to enable profiling
* Documentation added for profiling with jitdump to the book
* Split out supported/unsupported files in `jitdump.rs` to avoid having
  lots of `#[cfg]`.
* Make dependencies optional that are only used for `jitdump`.
* Move initialization up-front to `JitDumpAgent::new()` instead of
  deferring it to the first module.
* Pass around `Arc<dyn ProfilingAgent>` instead of
  `Option<Arc<Mutex<Box<dyn ProfilingAgent>>>>`

The `jitdump` Cargo feature is now enabled by default which means that
our published binaries, C API artifacts, and crates will support
profiling at runtime by default. The support I don't think is fully
fleshed out and working but I think it's probably in a good enough spot
we can get users playing around with it!

* Factor out the code for matching f32, f64, and v128.

This takes the idea from #802 to split out `f32_matches`, `f64_matches`,
and `v128_matches` functions, which better factor out the matching
functionality between scalar and vector.

d5a2eb397c Update the *.wast runner to use the wasmtime API (#690)
* Update the `*.wast` runner to use the `wasmtime` API

This commit migrates the `wasmtime-wast` crate, which executes `*.wast`
test suites, to use the `wasmtime` crate exclusively instead of the raw
support provided by the `wasmtime-*` family of crates.

The primary motivation for this change is to use `*.wast` test to test
the support for interface types, but interface types is only being added
in the `wasmtime` crate for now rather than all throughout the core
crates. This means that without this transition it's much more difficult
to write tests for wasm interface types!

A secondary motivation for this is that it's testing the support we
provide to users through the `wasmtime` crate, since that's the
expectation of what most users would use rather than the raw
`wasmtime-*` crates.

* Run rustfmt

* Fix the multi example

* Handle v128 values in the `wasmtime` crate

Ensure that we allocate 128-bit stack slots instead of 64-bit stack
slots.
